About Michael
Michael completed his studies with a degree in Real Estate from LIT and subsequently gained a master’s degree in Asset Management (Finance) from UCC. Michael is a member of the Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers and holds the designation as Recognised European Valuer from this organisation.
Michael has worked for a number of well-known estate agents that have included Bannon and Downing Commercial. In this time, he worked across many aspects of the sector, such as general agency, property management and valuations.
A native of Cashel, Michael comes from an extensive farming background. Michael completed his Teagasc Green Cert and The Irish National Stud Course and has enjoyed working in the Livestock and Bloodstock industries in recent years.
Today Michael has set up his own property consultancy, Michael Ryan Property and works in both the Housing and Land sectors.
He looks forward to helping future clients in search of their ideal property.

Michael earned his stripes from a young age clerking in livestock marts and bid spotting for a leading European bloodstock sales company, which he now forms part of their auctioneering panel with sales held across England and Ireland. Michael’s hard work and dedication to his profession were recognised in 2020 when he won The Novice Auctioneering Championship, a national competition, held by The Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers.
As a professional auctioneer Michael has gained the skills and insight into attaining the optimum sales result for any auction type through proper sales and catalogue planning, sales management and post-sale solutions. More recently he has extended his services to include on-line only and hybrid auctions which can help to attract a broader audience.
Michael continues to auctioneer across an array of asset classes, such as bloodstock, livestock, property and for charity also. His engaging personality and dynamic stage presence helps create an entertaining and professional experience whilst ensuring maximum results for his clients.
