About Michael

Michael completed his studies with a degree in Real Estate from LIT and subsequently gained a master’s degree in Asset Management (Finance) from UCC. Michael is a member of the Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers and holds the designation as Recognised European Valuer from this organisation.

Michael has worked for a number of well-known estate agents that have included Bannon and Downing Commercial. In this time, he worked across many aspects of the sector, such as general agency, property management and valuations.

Michael, a native of Cashel, comes from an extensive farming background. Having grown up in an area synonymous with horses Michael nurtured his interest in the industry from a young age whilst pursuing his formal education whilst working with local stud farms. Michael completed his Teagasc Green Cert and The Irish National Stud Course to further his knowledge of the industry.

Upon completing his formal education Michael gained valuable hands on experience working on stud farms across America, Australia and France. Having arrived home Michael formed part of Ballylinch Stud’s nominations sales team for a period of time. Today, Michael continues to marry his passion for auctioneering and agriculture by conducting live livestock and bloodstock auctions across England and Ireland.
